Hi Jana, thats an interesting questions. We get oxygen into our body through breathing – oxygen in air travels into our lungs and then diffuses into the blood stream. When we need more oxygen, such as during exercise, we breath more to get more oxygen in. If someone is ill in hospital, they may have an oxygen mask on, which is full of air with a high level of oxygen and helps the person breath a bit easier.
I’m not aware of any ways that don’t involve breathing through the lungs – other scientists?
