Hey! Awesome question. We often grow human cells in the lab as a way of studying what happens inside the human body, without actually needing to cut anyone open! We found out recently that some of the cells we grow in the lab have evolved a little bit so they aren’t totally identical to the cells inside humans. That means that some of the things we discover will need to be tested again in humans. It’s just a small discovery but it could make a massive difference to the way we cure people with cancer!
