I help communicate about drugs and diseases with pharmaceutical companies. I play a small role in a big wheel but I get to meet a lot of patients and doctors and feel like I help to make a difference in their treatment.
I’d like to be a clinician scientist. That’s a doctor who also does research. In that way, I get to keep seeing patients (the fun part!) while following my research interests. In an ideal world something I discover will change how patients are treated, but as Elizabeth put it, we are all small spokes of a much bigger wheel and we all make our contributions to science, even though it may not always feel like that!
