The number of lymph nodes a person has is REALLY variable, but I would say hundreds. The main ones are located near blood vessels, especially in your armpits and groin (you can feel the ones in your groin), next to the aorta, and in the sides of the neck. The neck ones sometimes become swollen and painful when you have a cough/cold.
