• Question: How many hours do you spend in your lab usually?

      It really depends on the day and on the type of experiment. Today I didn’t go to the lab at all, I had meetings. When I work in the lab I can spend 4-6 hours there, and in some cases much longer if the experiment requires it.

      Like Francis said it can vary from day to day. Today I spent more than 7 hour in the lab, some days I wont go in because I have meetings or data analysis to do.

      I used to spend 8-10 hours in the lab a day, but you get lots of tea breaks and dip in and out to write up experiments. It totally depends what kind of lab you’re in and which experiments you are doing.
