• Question: How do insects that carry infections be immune to the infection they carry?

      Yes! Although I wouldn’t say immune, I would just say they are not susceptible to the diseaes. One example is the mosquito and malaria. Mosquitos don’t ‘get’ malaria

      Many microbes use different species to get through the various stages of their life cycles. To use Ben’s example, malaria uses mosquitoes as a way to spread. It uses humans as a host to multiply.
      From malaria’s point of view, it works pretty well.
