If I quit I wouldn’t know what else to do! Sometimes when a problem is particularly tough, taking a couple of days away from it makes you feel much more refreshed, and when you come back to it you can feel much stronger to deal with it.

Sometimes it can get very frustrating when experiments fail and I wonder if it’s worth the effort. But I’m not sure what else I would do, because I would miss science and research too much. I still like it too much to quit.

Sometimes when things are particularly hard when experiments are failing and you have deadlines to make. These moments are rare and are usually over pretty quickly and your on to the next exciting project. I have had time out from science when I have been travelling or between jobs but I always seem to find my way back to science
