• Question: Have you ever made a molecule that can benefit people

      I have made molecules that I hope one day they will help people, but they haven’t yet because it’s too early.
      Just to give you an idea, for each molecule that becomes a real medicine, there are around 100,000 that were made and that didn’t work. So the chance of a chemist of making a molecule that actually helps people is quite small… But if you don’t try, then it will never help, so we keep trying.
