• Question: Have you changed your point of view about science from when you started studying?

      Hmm. I think as I spend more time in science I think I understand more of it. But science is such a large area that maybe I know more about my little topic. If I started to research a different area I would have to start from scratch again!

      Interesting question. I definitely have a different opinion about how scientific discoveries are made and shared than I used to. There is a lot of politics in science and it can be difficult to know who is right or wrong about a particular idea. I think this is the same for any industry, really – and, to me, it makes science even more interesting.

      The more I learn, the more things I figure out that I still need to learn and understand. I don’t think I expected that before I studied science.
      I’m also a lot more critical of what is presented as science in the media, I tend not to believe many of the “scientific” headlines until I read the details of the research in a proper scientific journal.
