Many many things! Science is a big part of my job so I spend a lot of time with it, but I also love doing most normal things like going out for dinner, seeing my friends, travelling, running, watching rugby – all sorts!

Most scientists have a good life outside the lab too, we are not all really geeky 🙂

Of course! Live got loads of interests, including music, food, technology, keeping fit and exercising regularly.

I’m a bit of a geek as well though and I quite like crosswords, maths questions and pub quizzes -it’s good to exercise your brain in different ways!

It’s really important to have lots of interests, as it keeps life exciting and fresh.

Many things! Spending time with my friends, travelling, dancing, all these keep me quite busy outside of the lab

Yes, loads! When scientists aren’t at the lab, we’re just normal people with busy social lives – we go out, we stay in, we do sports and go on adventures and have fun. Science is a really flexible job so sometimes I leave early when the weather is nice and go running. My other big passion is languages so I love to travel and learn new words!
