• Question: Did you get into the universities you wanted to?

      I applied for medicine to 4 universities. Three were in London and then Edinburgh. I got offered a place at two in London but not Edinburgh. If I hadn’t have got in anywhere though I may have tried to apply again the next year and done something constructive in the year I had off. If you really want something you should keep striving for it!

      Yes, but that was in France, where there isn’t a selection process at the entrance like there is in the UK.
      Instead I had to pass an very big exam at the end of the first year of uni, and thankfully I managed it.
      For my PhD I was accepted at my first choice of uni.

      I did yes. I did’t apply for any of the difficult units like Oxbridge though.
