      Wow Nora, thats a tough question! It completely depends on the disease – some diseases cause a lot of deaths and others don’t.

      I found a great article on the Guardian newspaper website or what the causes of death for people in the UK were in 2011. It shows that diseases caused over 94% of deaths (94 in every 100 people) and the rest are deaths from accidents.

      These diseases occur at all different stages in life and for different reasons and a lot of these can be down to old age.
