• Question: Which one would you say is the most necessary cell for us, humans?

      It’s a bit like the chicken and egg question… I’d say stem cells (but there are many types of those) because they are the source of all other cells.

      HMM. Very philosophical! But I think the most necessary cell for humans as a species is the gamete – the reproductive cell. These are sperm in males and eggs in females. Without them, we couldn’t reproduce and the species would go extinct (probably)!
