That’s an interesting question! First of all, I should say that pollution is a very big problem, and so are its long-term effects like loss of clean water or global warming.
The strange thing is, the earth is a lot stronger than humans are. Even if there was a BIG disaster and most (or all) humans died – even if we went extinct as a species – the earth would probably be fine. It’s an incredibly ‘stable’ system (which means that if you change it, it eventually goes back to how it was before).
So after a few million years without humans, the earth could look quite similar to how it did before we existed!
