Great question! Unfortunately, the simple answer is no – there will probably never be a single exact cure for all kinds of cancer. This is because cancer is a very diverse set of diseases. They all start off when things go wrong in normal cells and they start to grow out of control, but the precise causes and the way cancer cells develop in different tissues can vary a lot.
Cancer immunotherapy may offer the most general cures because it harnesses our own immune system to attack cancer – but even then, it’s unlikely to be a universal cure 🙁
