• Question: If you could eliminate anything of the human body, what would it be?

      I think that heart disease is really important to try and reduce, because we know what causes problems with the heart and it’s really common.
      If we could get people eating more healthy and doing more exercise, we could really reduce heart diseases and improve people’s lives.

      That’s an interesting question!

      I was going to say I’d eliminate the coccyx, which is a set of bones hanging off the very bottom of our spine. The coccyx an interesting feature because it’s left over from when our evolutionary ancestors had a tail. I thought that in modern humans it had no purpose, but I just looked it up and actually it’s important for muscle attachments and supporting our pelvis (hipbone). So maybe I’d say the appendix, which most people are fine without!
