Luckily for me, I live 15 minute cycle away from both the lab and the hospital, so I just hop on my bike every morning! In August I will have to move to a different area though, and many scientists have to travel, sometimes to live in different countries, to get jobs. It’s part of the fun though!

Like Ben I live close to work, no long commute for me.
Otherwise I sometimes go to other labs around London, to talk to other scientists or access specific equipment. The best part is when I get to travel to conferences abroad (they usually last 3-4 days), I try to go every year but it depends if I have enough results to show. I’ve been to conferences in the USA, Spain, and Germany (and other cities in the UK).

Local I don’t travel that far for my job. I do get to travel to conferences, training courses and to other companies we work with. I travel all across the UK and abroad I have been to the USA, Czech Republic to attend conferences
